YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS THAT RANKED IN TECHXTILE TALKED ABOUT THEIR PROJECTS TO İZMİR INDUSTRIALISTS.

 

The finalists of the Techxtile Start-Up Challenge, organized by UTİB to bring qualified entrepreneurial ideas to the textile industry, met with the Aegean industrialists.

 

By Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Association (UTİB) in cooperation with Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), Uludağ Clothing and Apparel Exporters’ Association (UHKİB), Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency (BEBKA) and Bursa Technology Coordination and R&D Center (BUTEKOM) Entrepreneurs who ranked in the Techxtile Start-Up Challenge and were awarded an award attended the Industrialist-Entrepreneur Meetings in İzmir hosted by Jak Eskinazi, Coordinator President of the Aegean Exporters Association (EİB).

 

ENGİN: WE WANT TO EXPAND THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP ECOSYSTEM

 

Making the opening speech of the program, UTİB Chairman of the Board Pınar Taşdelen Engin said, “Despite the pandemic conditions, as the textile and apparel industries, we realized a foreign trade surplus of over 18 billion dollars with exports of 31 billion dollars at the end of the year. As UTİB, we reached an export of 1.35 billion dollars with an increase of 33 percent at the end of 2021. R&D, innovation, and design, which are at the focal point of our lives, play a major role in reaching these figures in our industry. We want to feed our industry with our entrepreneurs and we want to grow by expanding the ecosystem. For this reason, we want to accelerate the development of our sector strongly by bringing together our entrepreneurs who were ranked in the TechXtile Start-Up Challenge, which we organized to bring new entrepreneurs into the sector, with the industrialists in İzmir.”

 

MORE THAN 250 PROJECTS TURNED INTO COLLABORATION

 

TechXtile Start-Up Challenge Program Coordinator Ufuk Batum said: “Our R&D Project Market event, which aims to bring young entrepreneurs to the sector, started in 2009 and were more than 250 projects turned into cooperation in 10 years, has been successfully continuing the TechXtile Start-Up Challenge path since 2019. is doing. We believe that our young entrepreneurs, who left behind an intensive training and qualifying process, will make greater progress.” At the end of the program, entrepreneurs had the chance to reach the industrialists directly by making their presentations.
